VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
Volunteer to drive individuals to medical appointments and/or support groups. WE HAVE A LARGE NEED FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
BECOME A PART OF A NETWORK
RAAN helps organize networks of citizen activities throughout the state that provide practical, emotional, and social supports to people living with HIV/AIDS. Currently there are 8 active networks throughout the state: Mankato, South West, West Central (Alexandria), Willmar, North Central (Bemidji), Crookston, North East (Range), and East Central (Hinckley).
Networks work on a variety of Activities:
- Outreach and education -distribute education and prevention materials at local events (i.e. county fairs, pride festivals, health fairs)
- Activism- write to newspapers and representatives
- Organize Special Events- help raise public awareness of HIV/AIDS through managing special events like an AIDS Walk or a local pride event.
OFFICE SUPPORT
Volunteers are needed in all of our locations to help with basic office tasks like mailings, data entry, and preparation of outreach materials
PEER PHONE SUPPORT
People who are living with HIV/AIDS reach out to people who are newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS
People who have family members living with HIV/AIDS reach out to people who have a family member newly diagnosed with HIV/AIDS
